Privacy Policy

FlipWord AI (“the App”, “we”, “us”) is operated by Mikhail Filippov (individual entrepreneur), Yerevan, Armenia. This policy explains what data the App processes and why. We designed FlipWord AI to collect as little personal data as possible.
Information we process
- Anonymous device identifier. A random identifier is generated and stored in your device Keychain so your flashcards can sync across reinstalls and devices. It is not linked to your name, email, or Apple ID.
- Your learning content. Words you add, the flashcards generated for them, decks, and reading passages are stored on our servers to provide synchronization and backup.
- Subscription status. If you subscribe to FlipWord Pro, Apple provides a subscription transaction identifier that we store solely to verify your entitlement. We never receive or store your payment card or Apple ID credentials.
- Generation inputs. Words and topics you choose to generate are sent to our AI provider to produce translations, examples, explanations, and reading texts; short image search terms are sent to an image provider to fetch an illustrative photo.
- Usage analytics. Anonymous product-usage events (for example: app opened, a word added, a reading text generated, a review session completed) together with the anonymous device identifier and app version are sent to our analytics provider to help us understand and improve the app. This is not tied to your name and is not used for advertising.
- Marketing attribution. If you installed the app after tapping an Apple Search Ads advertisement, Apple's privacy-preserving AdServices framework provides campaign-level identifiers (such as campaign and keyword IDs). We use these only to measure advertising effectiveness. This does not use the advertising identifier (IDFA) and does not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
What we do NOT collect
- No name, email address, or phone number (unless you contact us by email).
- No precise location.
- No advertising identifiers and no third-party advertising or cross-app tracking.
How we use data
Only to operate the App: generate learning content, sync and back up your cards, and verify your subscription. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
Service providers
We rely on a small number of processors that handle data only to deliver the service: Apple (app distribution and subscriptions), Anthropic (AI content generation), Pixabay (illustrative images), Amplitude (anonymous usage analytics), and our cloud hosting provider (application servers and database). Data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections.
Data retention and deletion
Your content is kept while you use the App. You can delete individual cards in the App, which removes them from our servers. To delete all data associated with your device, contact us at mvfilippov91@gmail.com.
Children
FlipWord AI is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.

You may request access to or deletion of your data by emailing mvfilippov91@gmail.com.
